Now in its second year, Endangered Data Week (EDW) takes place February 26 through March 2, 2018, at campuses and institutions around the world. The initiative’s goal is to build upon prior work in digital preservation and coordinate annual international events to raise awareness about threatened data.
This spring, Rachel Mattson, PhD, will join the University of Minnesota Libraries as curator of the Tretter Collection in Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, and Transgender Studies. She is the founder of the Digital Library Federation's interest group in Government Records Transparency & Accountability, a member of the team that organizes Endangered Data Week, and a core member of the XFR Collective. She is currently coediting a special issue of KULA: Knowledge Creation, Dissemination, and Preservation Studies on “Endangered Knowledge.”
